Thai Gai Yang Cafe offers a straightforward, no-frills spot for authentic Thai flavors tucked into the Delmar Loop neighborhood. This full-service Thai restaurant is best known for delivering a reliably solid meal in an atmosphere that balances casual comfort with clean, updated interiors. Locals come here when they want a dependable taste of Thailand without any fuss — whether it’s a quick solo lunch or a relaxed evening out with friends.

The menu leans on classics like Chicken Satay, Tom Yum Soup, and Pad See Eew Noodles, alongside more distinctive dishes such as Khao Soi Gai and Massaman Curry Beef. Diners consistently appreciate the spicy basil with crispy pork belly for a flavorful, textural contrast, and the Thai Iced Tea is often flagged as a refreshing complement. Service tends to be attentive and friendly, with staff mindful of safety and hygiene, which adds to the easygoing but cared-for vibe.

The layout features comfortable seating, some with window views, making it appealing for casual dates or small groups. It’s particularly well-suited for those looking to warm up with a hot and sour soup on a chilly evening or to savor bright, herbaceous dishes that stay true to Thai culinary roots. Given the location and steady flow of local diners, peak times are usually evenings and weekends, though the place moves efficiently enough to handle quicker weekday meals.

In essence, Thai Gai Yang Cafe serves those craving authentic Thai food in a practical, clean setting where the focus is on the food itself rather than elaborate decor or gimmicks. It’s a neighborhood spot favored by people who value genuine flavors and a straightforward dining experience in the heart of St. Louis’ Delmar Loop.

One of our go-to places at the Loop because they do not disappoint! The hit it out of the park once again with their delicious food. The place was clean, staff is friendly and masked for our safety. We'll keep coming back for sure!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant they were just opening for the day as we were greeted at the door, we were seated and we choose to sit in the window seats that were form fitted leather and very comfortable we then was offered our menu’s, the menu was easy to read with plenty of items to choose from we ordered our food and some of the food came out really fast. The appetizers were a great size and was delicious. I tasted everything that we ordered and I will be back.

This is a pretty good Thai place. I got the Pad Spicy Basil Moo Krob which came with crispy pork belly. It was pretty good and I would suggest if you are a hug pork belly fan. The staff are always really nice and price is good for what you get. I will be stopping by again.

TRY THE THAI TEA....This place by far is the best Thai restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food was delivered hot, it had just the right amount of spice. The place was a very clean, I got an education from the student I'm hosting from Thailand. She ordered for the both of us and,.. ok look this place is nice for you by yourself, bring a friend, bring a group, for the group call first. I got full off the thai rice! I had to take the rest home. You will not be disappointed coming for lunch or dinner.
